To those that continually say that there is no God, I must tell you that I have a that God is alive. To the agnostic, you can deny all you want that there is no God, but that does not remove His existence. Another point I want to make is that we as humans are not innately good. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23) So there is no way that we can have morals and truth in and of ourselves. We could search till the end of time in the annals of human history and not find anything that could save us from Hell and damnation for all eternity. I know that sounds harsh, but it is the truth. Many people are out there that do not want to hear that, because they think that they are good in and of themselves. If they continue to think that way; they will end up in front of God with no defence for their actions in life. "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."(Romans 8:18) I could try to explain all my actions in human terms, but that is from my point of view and not from God's point of view. God sees what I do and if anything is not according to how He has taught me to live, then it is sin, not what some people say that they cannot control their fleshly urges. Everything that we do is a choice, and if we make the wrong choice there are consequences. If we make excuses for our actions; then we are only hurting ourselves.
God is not like the gods of the Greeks and many other cultures. There are always battles going on between the deities, and that makes for too much drama to accomplish anything in somebody's life. God is not affected by those things, because He is the only Holy God. He is hurt by some of the choices we make because we choose sin over righteousness. If we choose to sin, then we choose the consequences that go along with that sin. Many people think that they cannot be seen by the God that created them, and therefore they think that they can erase the consequences in one way or another.
God is love, but He does not love sin. He does know how to cover our sins, and His Son gave His life so that we could have our lives back. If we choose to live in our sins, then we will be enslaved by it. There is freedom in the blood of the cross, but I am not talking about the freedom to do whatever you want. So many people misinterpret the liberty we are afforded by salvation. He has given a whole new thought process when it comes to life. We think according to how He would think about the choices we make.
Agnostics also think that there is no absolute truth, but the Word of God contains the absolute truth. What other books can you think of that contain absolute truth? There are none.
All that I have written here is not an opinion, but it is what I believe.
