Retreat, I Will Not

The battle rages on within my soul,
The battle gain it's control.
The fight has gone on far too long,
But with Christ we are strong.

We fight to live and not to die,
And we proclaim our battle cry,
My Savior, God, and King,
You are the Creator of everything.

The battle we fight not alone,
We fight through the power of the blood that did atone.
Take up thy sword and shield,
And with patience and perseverance wield.

Retreat not when the battle rages,
Because this battle has been going on for ages.
Retreat not when all seems lost,
Because we must fight this battle at any cost.

We Think We Know, But We Have No Idea

There have been many people that have said that they can predict when the world is going to end, but according to God's Word, "...no man can know the hour."  Those of us who know Christ as our personal Savior know that He will return in His timing; not according to man's predictions. The return of Christ is serious and real. Are you ready for His return?

So much is at stake when you think about eternity. So many people are oblivious to their eternal state, so when Christ comes back they will be left behind. There will be many explanations for what has happened, and only we will know. We need to make people aware of what is too come if they are not prepared. Show others that you care about where they go into eternity.

Breaking the Silence

The silence is deafening the world round,
What I am hearing does astound.
Why do we keep silent about what we believe,
When we have something that everyone needs to receive.

Break the silence with a loud cry,
For without Christ, alone you die.
Take it to the world wide,
And let them know that Christ for them has died.

Until we have told the whole world,
And we are marching with our banner unfurled.
We face the world everyday,
Let them know we have something to say.

Though This Evil Might Be Gone

Though the threat might be gone,
I know that my God is on the throne.
The real threat is still at large,
But my God is in charge.

We fight a good fight everyday,
To keep this life in the right way.
Satan seeks to destroy the heart,
And like a lion tear it apart.

Evil tries to prevail,
But in the end it will be cast into Hell.
My God knows it all,
And He will hear me when I call.

My heart will I guard always,
And my voice will always sing His praise.
My spirit longs for His return,
And until that day I will continually yearn.

God is Alive

To those that continually say that there is no God, I must tell you that I have a that God is alive. To the agnostic, you can deny all you want that there is no God, but that does not remove His existence. Another point I want to make is that we as humans are not innately good. "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God."(Romans 3:23) So there is no way that we can have morals and truth in and of ourselves. We could search till the end of time in the annals of human history and not find anything that could save us from Hell and damnation for all eternity. I know that sounds harsh, but it is the truth. Many people are out there that do not want to hear that, because they think that they are good in and of themselves. If they continue to think that way; they will end up in front of God with no defence for their actions in life. "For if ye live after the flesh, ye shall die: but if ye through the Spirit do mortify the deeds of the body, ye shall live."(Romans 8:18) I could try to explain all my actions in human terms, but that is from my point of view and not from God's point of view. God sees what I do and if anything is not according to how He has taught me to live, then it is sin, not what some people say that they cannot control their fleshly urges. Everything that we do is a choice, and if we make the wrong choice there are consequences. If we make excuses for our actions; then we are only hurting ourselves.

God is not like the gods of the Greeks and many other cultures. There are always battles going on between the deities, and that makes for too much drama to accomplish anything in somebody's life. God is not affected by those things, because He is the only Holy God. He is hurt by some of the choices we make because we choose sin over righteousness. If we choose to sin, then we choose the consequences that go along with that sin. Many people think that they cannot be seen by the God that created them, and therefore they think that they can erase the consequences in one way or another.

God is love, but He does not love sin. He does know how to cover our sins, and His Son gave His life so that we could have our lives back. If we choose to live in our sins, then we will be enslaved by it. There is freedom in the blood of the cross, but I am not talking about the freedom to do whatever you want. So many people misinterpret the liberty we are afforded by salvation. He has given a whole new thought process when it comes to life. We think according to how He would think about the choices we make.

Agnostics also think that there is no absolute truth, but the Word of God contains the absolute truth. What other books can you think of that contain absolute truth? There are none.

All that I have written here is not an opinion, but it is what I believe.

Called Out

Called out according to His purpose,
Because we have been called into His service.
The calling that we receive,
Is given to us when we believe.

For the calling is much higher than our own,
And He in our faith is the cornerstone.
Will you take on this higher calling?
Or will you in this life keep stalling?

Take on this calling today,
And you for Him, will have something to say.
He gave me a new name,
And His salvation, I will proclaim.

Do Not Forget

We celebrated the Resurrection yesterday. This celebration should go on throughout the year, because our Saviour is alive and powerful everyday. I think so often that we get overwhelmed by life's circumstances that we do not remember what was done for us so long ago. Our Saviour is the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Do not forget the reason why,
Our Saviour came to earth to die,
To bring new life to the lost,
To pay the price of sin's cost.

Do not forget the life He gave,
So that my soul He would save.
He knew what had to be done,
So the battle against Satan was won.

Do not forget on the third day He did rise,
And to those who knew Him, it was no surprise.
For those He came to seek and to save,
So that man would not be to sin a slave.
