Light Shown from Ages Past

Many before us have come to light the way,
So that we are able to do what we do today,
By their light we see more clearly,
And this light we will shine more brightly.

For these are times of great darkness,
And there is a need for righteousness.
This righteousness is not our own,
And this on the cross, Christ has shown.

Let us be the light in this dark world,
Let our banner of truth be unfurled.
For God knew our deepest need,
And He knew how from our sin we could be freed.

For Christ took upon Himself the sins of us all,
And He gave us deliverance from the fall.
For we have fallen far from grace,
But someday we will see Him face to face.

God Has Spoken

Listen, for God has spoken,
And with His words He heals the broken.
For His words are words of life,
And He brings peace amongst the strife.

When He speaks, we should lend our ears,
For when we see our sin, we should brought to tears.
For our sin would leave us lost,
But Christ wants to save us at any cost.

I am listening to what You have to say,
I am studying Your Word and I will pray.
For Your Word has changed my heart,
And permeated me in every part.

Faith So Small

I want to have the faith of a mustard seed,
So that I can move mountains indeed.
Faithful wherever I have been placed,
So that I in His footsteps can be traced.

Taking away the strength of many,
So that there would be strength when there wasn't any,
Our strength does not come in our flesh,
But through the Spirit's dwelling afresh.

The Lord fed the many,
And from the few was made plenty.
He took the time for the least,
And through this their faith was increased.
